Student Travel Bursary

For students and trainees attending AMI or AMI-sponsored scientific events, including conferences, symposia, workshops, webinars, and training courses.

The Student Travel Bursary supports student members to attend AMI and AMI-sponsored events that foster learning and professional growth in applied microbiology. As funds are limited, applicants should first explore departmental support so that bursaries can be reserved for those with the greatest financial need. AMI aims to ensure fair and equitable access to these valuable opportunities for all students.

Although this grant is highly competitive, we will strive to support as many eligible members as possible within the constraints of available funds.

AMI now welcomes applications from Trainee Members, including those on clinical pathways or apprenticeships, and actively encourages individuals developing their professional skills through these routes to apply.
